On his birthday Jason got to go to his final Blue and Gold banquet and graduate from cub scouts. He earned his all 20 (meaning he earned all 20 badges possible as a webelos) and this awesome man in our ward hand carves little bolo slides for the boys when they accomplish this and he tells them to let him know when they earn their eagle and he'll carve them an eagle for that. Jason's was a funny little guy that's really cute and just happened to have red hair. It's fun seeing him accomplish these great things.
When I shower I put Liam in his room to play with his toys. This day I got out and was a bit worried why it was so quiet until I found him like this. Isn't it cute?? I tried to get a better angle, but wasn't able to. I love when babies sleep with their little bottom in the air. It doesn't seem real comfortable, but it sure is cute.
The day before we left for California we headed up to Salt Lake to stay the night so we wouldn't have to wake up quite so early to get to our flight. We had some time to kill so we walked around Gateway and then we still had more time to kill so we went to the Capitol building. I haven't ever been there before. The kids had fun checking it out and running around the grounds. They wanted a picture on the beehive in front. We tried to get ones by the lions too, but they didn't turn out too great. We had fun later that night visiting with my friend Sariah after she got off work. I was laughing though because Emily seriously talked non-stop almost the whole time so I didn't even get to talk much to Sariah. At one point I told Em that maybe she should ask Sariah what had been going on with her and give her a chance to talk and Em just looked at me like I was crazy. By the time we got back to the hotel I was laughing so hard that Em had so much to say and how Jason was trying to tune her out. The difference between girls and boys is definitely big in that way.
