I had big plans for our 4th of July celebrations. We were going to the balloons in Provo, to watch the fireworks in Provo, watch Toy Story 3—finally, maybe even watch the parade, plus have a BBQ. Unfortunately the only one of those plans that actually happened was going to see Toy Story 3. It was a REALLY good movie and totally lives up to Pixar’s reputation. All of our other plans kind of hinged on me being there to do them (mostly because Daddy can’t drive in the dark) and unfortunately for my kids I came down with some kind of bug Saturday night that made me unable to fulfill all of my great July 4th celebration plans. All of our BBQ food is still in the fridge because I just haven’t been able to stomach making it yet. So…how’s that for the worst 4th of July celebration post ever? Hope your celebrations were awesome! Hopefully we can make it up in a couple weeks for the 24th of July celebrations here in our little town. Liam keeps asking when we can go see the fireworks (I had been telling him about them before I got sick).

There have been some viscious bugs going around. We were going to go to Toy Story tonight, but couldn't because both my kids are sick.
Oh Jen, so sorry about that. Next year, just watch the WA DC fireworks on TV. No crowds, no traffic. Awesome. We went right to bed afterwards.
