So, we had a busy day today. Sorry, still no pics. I've been terrible at taking pics lately. I'll do better soon I promise.
The kids and I painted the baby's room this morning. No, I didn't do it any cute baby color, but kept it neutral instead. In fact Jason said he can't tell the difference from the old color, but I can and I really like the new color and think it'll look great if I get the crib etc that I want! I was a little worried about the kids helping, and I'm sure I'll find things that are less than perfect when I give it a second coat, but overall they were a big help and did a great job helping me without complaining or anything. It was great. Now, if we can just get some stuff to put into that room we'll be great!!
We had just barely finished painting and I was cleaning things up when Amy from our adoption agency called to tell me that our birthmom wanted me to come to her dr. appt for sure. It was 9:15 and her appointment was at 10:15! So, I frantically called to find somewhere for the kids to go while I went with her. Thankfully my sil was available and I got to go. It was nice, but I feel so bad for her since she's having some painful, if normal side effects from being pregnant. She is measuring right on with her due date so hopefully she won't have the baby early! I told her she can't have it next week since we are going to be out of town! I know it's really asking for it to go out of town only 3 1/2 weeks before the baby is supposed to come, but I'm counting on her history of going on time or late to help me out there. Although in the back of my head I keep thinking about that whole Murphy's law thing and how I just know that I'm going to get a phone call at my parent's house saying to hurry home and the baby is coming. So, we are all crossing our fingers that doesn't happen and I'm trying to quickly get everything ready for a baby at our house since we haven't had one here for MANY years. So, join us in crossing your fingers and hoping that our baby won't come while we are out of town! I guess worst case Jason could go get the baby and take care of it until I got here. :) LOL. That shouldn't happen since it'll be at least 24 hrs after birth before the baby is officially ours, but it is fun for me to think about...
