Recital

Emily’s piano teacher had a Spring Recital last week.  Em did a great job playing.  So did lots of the other kids.  Her teacher told us that she thought Emily might need a new piano teacher with more experience and repertoire.  Jason is surprised by this because he thinks there are other kids she teaches that seem better than Emily. (this from his vast musical knowledge and the songs he hears the other kids play at recitals)  So, we may be getting a new teacher for next Fall…if we can get into anyone and if Emily is willing to put the work in.  I took video, but it takes forever to download so I’ll try to get it on here tomorrow.  She (and all the others) was a little embarrassed to have to announce her song selection with the microphone.  The only thing worse for all the students is having to bow when they are done playing.    Em got a trophy because she has participated in the piano Festival for three years in a row and received a superior rating all three years.
