More fun in Washington

Wednesday morning after I got my run in we went to see Kathi and then the girls went to get pedicures together.  Somehow we didn’t get any pictures taken, but we had a very nice time relaxing and chatting.  Em took a picture of hersAfter pedicures we were all hungry so we went to Bruccis because we didn’t have much time and it was close and Kathi promised it was good—and it was.  Somehow I don’t ever remember going there when I lived there.  It was great to have girl time. 

Wednesday night we went to my Aunt LaRae’s house for dinner.  She invited her kids to come too so we could see them.  It was great to see them all.  Our kids had a blast in their backyard.

Unfortunately during dinner my cousin Kristin’s youngest fell off a stool and broke her arm.  So while the rest of the kids were having fun playing she was at the ER getting xrays.  She was so calm and such a trooper about it. 

A little while ago I saw a picture of this cake on my cousin Julie’s facebook page and immediately I made a request for her to make one for me when I came.  I’m no food photographer, but I promise it was as good or better than it looks in these pictures.  If you like chocolate—you would LOVE this cake.  This is Julie (the cake baker) and her cute baby girl.My Aunt LaRae—she’s awesome.

My cousin Kristin and her little girl with a splint on her arm after they got back from the ER.  I couldn’t believe how happy she was even though you knew she was hurting. 

It was so great to see some of my cousins and their kids.  Thanks so much for having us over LaRae!
