My friend Shanna tagged me for National Adoption Month. The original tag was as the rules say below. She decided to make hers about adoption so we'll see what happens when I try to think of things. It may be a mixture of things about me and things about Adoption. I'm really bad at these things so hopefully you won't be bored by my answers.
Here are the rules:
1.Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post the rules on your blog.
3. Share 6 nonimportant things/habits/quirks about yourself.
4. Tag 6 random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs.
5. Let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their website.
1. I have to brush my teeth BEFORE I floss. Jason says you are supposed to floss first, but I just can't do it. Besides, when you go to the dentist they brush first and floss last so I guess it's okay.
2. Unlike many in the Adoption world I never really considered adoption as a way I would build our family. It wasn't really something that I was exposed to as a kid so I don't think it was really on my radar.
3. I HATE it when my fingernails break especially really short (like below the fingertip). It feels so weird to have them shorter than my fingertip. I've always had strong nails and even though my piano teachers always wanted me to cut them I like having them long.
4. When we were waiting to adopt there were many times I wondered if all the heartache was worth it. Those I knew who had been successful at adoption told me it was and now that we have adopted Liam I KNOW that it was worth it!
5. I was terrified before we met Liam's birthmom for the first time, but once we got there and started talking it was totally cool. I never thought that would happen. I love her like a member of our family and I hope we never lose contact with each other. When we started the adoption process the idea of open adoption scared us, but it feels so perfect now that we are doing it that I wonder what we were worried about. :)
6. Finally, like Shanna said in her post I love all my kids equally. I DO have bio kids and an adopted one and there is NO difference in my love for them. They are mine and Liam has felt like mine since the first moment I saw him. If anyone ever has any questions about adoption or if you are thinking about it please feel free to ask me!
So, now I have to tag some people. I don't normally do tags because they are just too darn hard! You guys will have to do the regular tag not the adoption one, but I still hope you do it! Bonnie, Rosalie, Jennie, Merrilee, Tawnie, and Chellaigne

I loved learning some of the little things about you. (And I brush before flossing, too...otherwise, ewww.)
