Friday Liam and I headed to the park for our weekly transracial adoption playgroup. Since it's been warm lately we've been checking out different parks. This week we went to Nielsen's Grove park in Orem. It's a cool park with lots of fun stuff. Liam loved the ducks in the pond and especially the baby ducks. One of the other Mom's brought bread because she knew there were ducks, but Liam ate more than he fed the ducks.
He was tired on the way home and I thought this face with his hand up like that was too cute not to take a picture.
Friday night Jason and I went to use a gift card we had at Red Robin. It was good and it was nice to get to talk with Jason without kids interrupting every five seconds.
Saturday we had a busy day. It started with going to pick up Em's new glasses. She picked them out all on her own since she's all grown up and knows exactly what she likes now. :) On our way home we stopped at the Provo Farmer's Market. We were in a hurry to get home for Day camp, but there was lots of cool stuff and yummy food. I can't wait to check it out more carefully another time. Emily was very impressed by the free range brown eggs we bought. We didn't get to eat any until Sunday, but they were delicious. I was also able to find the Armenian cucumber plant I have been looking for.
We got home and ate a quick lunch before we headed up to Stake Activity Girls Day camp. Em's age group got to make a babysitting kit, make a leather pendant necklace, meet and listen to Ms. Spanish Fork , and go geocaching
. The girls had a blast. Our bishopric brought us pizza for dinner
and then each ward performed their skit. Ours was written by the very talented Sis. Carter and was called Humility Rocks.
Em with a couple of her friends.
I'm getting better at this self-portrait thing. This is proof I was there and a good pic of Em's new glasses. I had fun being with Em and seeing her interactions with her friends in our Stake. It was a fun day.

That last picture of you and Emily is darling. How sweet that you could be with her on that activity day.
Friday was fun and there were so many people. I was sorry I had to leave early.
I'd heard about the Farmer's Market. What are the prices like?
That all sounded like so much fun!
Armenian cucumbers are the very best. We used to grow them in California when we were kids. We'd wash them in the swimming pool (gross, huh?) and use the "outside" salt shaker and eat the whole thing. They were the size of a sax!
