Warning: The following recipe is likely to ruin any weight loss/eating healthy resolutions you may have made recently. I made these yesterday for our monthly family dinner and they literally disappeared. I thought I'd have at least a couple to send with the kids in their lunch--nope. So, here you go:
Neiman marcus bars
1 cup butter, melted
1 box yellow cake mix
3 eggs
8 oz cream cheese
1 lb powdered sugar (about 3 3/4 cups)
1/2 cup nuts (I never put these in, but go for it if you like them)
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Combine butter, 1 egg, and cake mix. Stir well and spread into 10 x 15 pan. (you can use a 9x13, but be sure to have something to catch the overflow in your oven or you’ll have a mess). Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, add remaining two eggs. Stir in nuts, coconut, and chocolate chips and spread over cake mixture in pan. Bake 325 45-50 min
PS if you are in the book club this is the stuff I made when it was at my house and I was supposed to get you all the recipe, but I don't think I ever did...so, there you go!
