Fall Break

This past week the kids only had three days of school.  They used to call this UEA, but now it's just fall break because I don't think they have our days off during the UEA convention anymore.  So, I had big plans to do some fun stuff with the kids.  Then Liam came down with a fever on Wed night and I was up all night with him until his fever finally broke on Thursday morning.  So, our Thursday plans of going to a movie had to be put off.  The big kids ended up fighting too much so they lost their privilege to play with friends.  (I know, I know, I'm the meanest mom there is)

Since Liam was good all day on Thursday on Friday we decided to go to Pumpkinland at Vinyard Garden center.  I'd taken the twins there many years ago when they were small like Liam.  It's actually a great place for toddlers/preschoolers, but it was deemed "boring" by the twins even though they couldn't figure out the corn maze...Here are a few pictures from our adventures there.  IMG_4427  By the halloween totem pole

After Pumpkinland we headed to the mall to eat at Chick fil a.  We all love their food.  After that we strolled the mall for a bit before we headed over to visit some friends.  We spent the rest of the afternoon visiting/playing with them and it was a great way to spend the day.  I didn't get any pictures of our fun because my battery died.

Saturday we spent the morning cleaning and doing yard work and then I took Em and Jason to see Cloudy with a chance of meatballs in 3D.  I thought the 3D was pretty cool and they did a good job of making a movie out of the book.  The kids liked it too...it wasn't a fabulous movie, but it was entertaining.  After the movie we headed to the Creamery for dinner.  Surprised?  I knew you weren't...I do take any chance I can to go there I like it that much.  The kids like it too so that's a bonus.  So, that's pretty much the extent of our Fall Break.  Nothing too earth shattering, but it was a nice relaxing couple of days.

Hope you had a great one too!

That pumpkin place looked like a blast! My kids would flip to go there. Liam's expression was fabulous as well. You ought to make a scrapbook full of all his funny little facial expressions.

Sorry that Liam was sick, glad that he is feeling better! It sounds like you all had a good time! We will have to try Pumpkinland...looks fun!

If we end up at BYU, you are in charge of my introduction to the Creamery! Sounds awesome. What fun!

I remember that place! Didn't you & Tawnie & I go there when we were in wymount? That was really fun. I have pictures of the kids sticking their heads through the mouth. Glad Liam had fun!
