Jennifer McDonald considers herself a woman of mystery. Who is this socialite from Spanish Fork, Utah? Mother of three? Wife of one? Conqueror of the laundry and all spilled milk? Would anyone seeing this mild-mannered mom-about-town realize that after giving birth to fraternal twins while still a student in college she would wait nearly ten years before adopting her youngest son? And that today, she can tame the two teenagers' appetites for fashion and Honey Nut Cheerios, while at the same time starting Backyardigans on Netflix for the toddler? Can this biography handle any more questions without bursting at the seams? Probably not, so we move to swift conclusion with this inspiring quote from one of Jennifer's favorite philosophers, "yes, those birds are very angry, aren't they? And nothing calms an angry bird like being shot across the sky at a bunch of laughing pigs."
We finally got some new family pictures taken. I'm pretty happy with them. Here are a few of the ones we got. Somehow we forgot to take a picture of all the kids together though...bummer...those are great for relatives so they don't have to have so many pictures, but that's okay. Have a great day!
Oh, they turned out great! Who did you use? We are having ours done in two weeks and I am frantically shopping trying to find the right outfit combo. Your eyes look so pretty in the last one!
Thanks Amberly! We used Christy at cheapshots photography. You can see her other stuff at cheapshotsllc.blogspot.com. I think she did a great job and her prices are AMAZING. Good luck finding the perfect outfit(s). I think that's the part that stresses me out the most. Where are you going for your pics and who's taking them?
Love the one whereyou're all holding hands and Liam is turned around. Super cute. We're going to be obnoxiously matchy-matchy for our pictures, but I don't care. I won't always get to dress my boys in matching outfits. Taking advantage while I still can!
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.
