Last week we went to family night at the Springville Museum of Art. The first Monday of each month they have this free of charge so we thought it was about time we checked out this museum that is so close to us, but that we’ve never been inside of.
They had a couple presentations (we got there late so missed the first one that was a quilter) the second one was a folk music group. They were good and quite fun to listen to. The kids enjoyed it a lot more than I thought they would and Liam was (mostly) good. He sat up front and watched the fiddlers after giving the museum guy a heart attack by going under the ropes!
This was a song where his wife “played the bow” and was fun to watch
after the entertainment they had an art project for the kids to do. It was a little over Liam’s head, but he tried anyway—for about two minutes and then he was off exploring the statue garden.
Jason surprised me and got really into making his and was a lot more detailed than he usually is with art projects.
Emily always loves stuff like this so she was in heaven making designs and painting them onto a handkerchief.
Liam getting rocks out of the fountain to throw them into the top part of the fountain.
Liam liked climbing on the statues—hopefully it was ok—I’m assuming it was since no one ever told him not to.
He liked to run around and peek out this little window.
It was a fun activity to do with the kids and its different each month so if you live close you should check it out!

I love the Springville Art Museum! We've only been once but every time I drive by I want to go again. I just might take you up on your offer to let me practice on your kiddos. :)
My sister had her wedding reception there and it was a really beautiful setting.
