Lagoon

Last week we took advantage of discount tickets to Lagoon from 4-H  and headed north.  Lagoon is an amusement park near Salt Lake.  It was a fun day for the whole family and we were lucky that before we went in a nice lady gave us a free ticket for Liam to get in so we didn’t have to pay for him.  We made up for saving that admission fee by paying through the nose for our dinner at Arby’s inside the park.  Lesson learned.  IMG_1467 Liam’s first ride at the park.  He didn’t know what to thinkIMG_1471 Jason took him on this one—he didn’t like it much.  IMG_1476 Em and meIMG_1480 forcing the kids to pose for a picture.  IMG_1481 Jason insisted on trying this game that measures how fast you throw.  he won a blow up bat that he proceeded to hit everyone with to bug us all.  IMG_1484 The wild animal kingdom train.  Liam loved this!  He is fascinated with trains.  The animals didn’t hurt either. Things to remember:  Liam liked the “terror ride” and rode it as many times as he could get Daddy to take him on it he called it Pinocchio.  He also loved the train and he went on a rollercoaster with Dad too (the kiddie one).  He was proud of himself for going on a rollercoaster just like Mom and big brother.

We got Em to go on the Bat and it ended up being her favorite ride.

Jason went on a bunch of rollercoasters with me, but wouldn’t try the colossus or wicked.  Maybe next time…

Next time we won’t waste our time at Lagoona beach and will just ride rattlesnake rapids and get just as wet to cool off that way.

I have a daughter who loves loves loves roller coasters. When we were at Lagoon last year she was 7 and she went on all of them.. even Wicked. She was able to go on the Bat and Colossus when she was 6 and loved them! Crazy huh!

I totally need a kid like that. I LOVE roller coasters, but my dd is scared of them and my older son will go on SOME. So far Liam is fearless--hopefully I'm not too old for roller coasters when he's old enough to go on them.
