Treehouse

In looking through my pictures from August (there are over 300 of them—yikes!) I realized that I’d never blogged about our fun trip to Ogden to see my sister in law and nieces and go to the treehouse museum with them.  If you live ANYWHERE near (we drove 1 1/2 hrs) Ogden and have a child 2-12 you should totally go there and check it out.  They have so much fun stuff for the kids to do and explore and everything is hands on.  If it was closer I’d totally get an annual pass and go all the time!  Kids would never get bored because they have so much stuff there.  Seriously…just look at how much fun my kids had. 

We ended up back in the music room three different times I think.  I loved watching Liam play with these knights and horses—he rarely does this. The “oval office” Giant chess game Legos Jason enjoyed the challenge of getting this arch built and Liam enjoyed knocking it down.  I love the sheer joy on his face as he does it.  This picture is worth 1000 words.  It feels like Liam is king of our house sometimes.  Liam loved the astronaut costume Trains…need I say more? Dinosaurs. A train to climb on--heaven teepee and dressing up like Indians.  Tired and happy after a fun day together. 

I was surprised that each little area Liam found he would get totally engrossed in and I’d have to encourage him to come see what else there was to do.  If we could come more often I’d just let him stay in one place as long as he wanted, but there’s so much to see and do that I wanted to keep us moving.  You could really spend all day there if you wanted to.  I think I’m a little jealous of my brother and sister in law for living so close to it!
