So, I realized that my last post is out of order chronologically because I didn't take any pictures before then so I'll just give a quick rundown of the main stuff. We went to visit my Grandma and Grandpa Stevens Friday night. Then on Saturday we went shopping (Em's new favorite past time). Em got material to make a quilt and Carolyn got a dress for church. I didn't really find anything.
Sunday we went to church and then had everyone over for dinner. It was weird to go to my parents ward and know hardly anyone. Their boundaries have changed so many times since I lived there that there's hardly anyone left that was in the ward when I lived there. I was excited to have a message from Cori when I got home from church, but I wasn't able to get in touch with her and so we ended up missing each other. That was a bummer I was looking forward to seeing her and meeting her adorable daughter Evie. Hopefully next time.
Tuesday we headed to the park to meet with my friend Chellaigne from high school. We were drum majors together our Senior year and we had a blast at drum major camp together. (I just found a vhs of the talent show and some of the other stuff from that camp, Chellaigne. I was a little bit embarrassed) I was surprised when I got there to see several other people from band there too. It turns out Chellaigne had spread the word and a few others came. I'm bummed that Jamie Graham had to leave before we got a picture. It was great seeing you Jamie and your daughter is adorable!
So, L to R is me, Amy, Heather, and Chellaigne. We also got a shot of the kids:
Aren't they cute? Chellaigne will add another one before too long.
After lunch all the girls went to get pedicures (except Kathi because she just
got hers done). It was Em's first time and my sil Jennifer's first time too.
I think they both liked it. We got home and had another big family dinner with everyone.
Wednesday my cousin's wife called me to see if I wanted to go running with her. So, we jogged a short run which was the one and only time I ran the whole time I was gone. It was a bit of a challenge to get through all the construction, but we made it. Thanks for the call Kristi!
Kathi and I went shopping so I could buy her a birthday present. She got a cute shirt and then another outfit. I found some cute shorts, but they didn't have my right size so was bummed about that. Then Wednesday night we had a BBQ/party for her birthday. I told her she's spoiled because she's the only one who ever gets a party for her birthday anymore. Here are some pictures from that.
Sisters (I sure wish we lived closer together)
I love this picture of Grandpa even though I know Grandma will hate it of her.
That's my cousin Elizabeth sitting to the left of Grandpa. She's a hard one to get a picture of, but she has a beautiful smile!
We had just finished having cake when my friend Caureen came over to say hello. Her parents still live behind mine and she happened to be at her parents picking up her kids after a trip. I haven't seen her in awhile, but it was great to chat with her and meet her kids in person. (they are adorable) I didn't get any pictures though so you'll have to take my word for it. It was a fun evening.

It's depressing that that was a short run! I was about to die, Miss Speedy Pants!
Are Jim and Jennifer up here still? I bet Paul would love to see them too!
