Baptism Day

Emily and Jason got baptized this weekend. Another reason for all the family to come visit us. We were so lucky that they could all come along with some of our close friends. Thanks to everyone who was able to come share this special day with us.  

Happy Birthday!!

The kids had a great birthday with tons of family here. We had lots of family come from out of town so we had a nice big crazy party with lots of cake and ice cream and of course--presents!



Jim had to take over holding the cake from Michael after Michael almost dropped it onto the kids. The cardboard it was on slid around really easily on the plastic bottom of the carrying box. 

Here's the girls' picture. Can you tell I'm trying really hard to aim?? Sorry Dad, I can never quit the closing one eye thing when I'm aiming.  

I forgot about these pics. Aren't they cute? They were taken on the Buzz lightyear ride and you could just email them to yourself when you got out of the ride. Here's the boys one.  

A blast at Disneyland

Well, for those of you who don't know we surprised the kids and took them to Disneyland last week. It was a wonderful trip and all four of us had a REALLY great time. The kids were so surprised they didn't even believe us when we told them Tuesday morning that we were taking them to Disneyland.

The weather in Anaheim was gorgeous while we were there and the kids got a kick out of swimming outside in the middle of February. I enjoyed being able to wear shorts and seeing the kids' excitement. Jason Sr even had a good time enjoying spending time with us and going on all the rides that he could. I still couldnt' get him to go on a roller coaster, but that's okay since I didn't want his back to hurt any more anyway. ;)

We loved everything about Disneyland and found enough things we liked at California adventure to add a little variety. Jason Jr. found out that he likes roller coasters and so he was my thrill ride buddy. Emily like some of the roller coasters, but wouldn't brave the bigger ones. She did try the matterhorn and the Big thunder Railroad though. She didn't like the matterhorn, but loved big thunder RR.

In short we all had a great time and were very sorry to have to come back home to normal life and cold temperatures for the next several months. I've posted a few pictures of some of our fun.

This is one of those insanely overpriced pictures those photographers that are all over the place take of you while you are at Disneyland, but I couldn't resist. :0

Jason didn't want to get his picture taken with any characters, but Eeyore just grabbed him for one so I took one real quick. It was the only time Jason fell for that one. ;)
