We had to find somewhere pretty close to home to go this lovely Labor day since the price of gas seems to be rising ever upward. We decided to go up Hobble Creek canyon. It was a nice "nature walk" for the kids. They found tons of acorns, bugs, and rocks that were interesting. We even saw this little animal...we think maybe it's some kind of weasle. It was definately used to seeing people since it didn't seem too scared of us at all.  Posted by Picasa

The kids started school last week on Tuesday. I didn't think it'd take so long for me to get these pictures up, but life has been busy! This is Jason on the first day of Second grade. He's in Mrs. Palmer's class.  Posted by Picasa

While the kids and I were in WA Dad got Jason a kit to build and launch rockets. They've had a great time doing it together and the rest of us have been enjoying the launching of the rockets. This is Jason and Dad getting the rocket ready to launch.  Posted by Picasa
Jason and Dad doing the countdown and pushing the button to lauch the rocket. It was a great launch. Posted by Picasa

Yesterday we all drove down to the Fremont Indian State park. Of course we took some pictures so I will share them with you. It was a lot of fun and educational too! ;) This is a picture of what the petroglyphs we saw looked like. These are of animals, but we saw people, hands, other animals, spirals etc.  Posted by Hello
Emily and Jason in front of 100 hands cave. This is a cave that has a bunch of petroglyphs/pictographs (if you wanna know the difference ask my kids!) of hands. The bars are there to keep people from vandalizing it. Posted by Hello
The one and only picture of me since I'm mostly the one behind the camera. I'm climbing out of the replicated pit house that the kids insisted we all had to climb down into to see what it was like.  Posted by Hello
